Indivisible Lake County CA was born out of a collective desire to protect our democratic values and engage our community in meaningful political action. In the wake of national events that threatened civic engagement, a small group of passionate citizens gathered to discuss how they could make a difference. What started as informal meetings quickly evolved into a structured movement aimed at fostering awareness, participation, and resilience within our democracy.

What is Indivisible?
We are a grassroots movement of thousands of local Indivisible groups with a mission to elect courgeous leaders, rebuild our democracy, and defeat the Trump agenda. We are a broad based, massive, organized, peaceful, pro-democracy movement. There are more than 2000 local indivisible groups. There are 10 new groups each day.
What’s happening in Lake County?
There has been an individual group in Lake County since the first Trump administration.
However that organization had become dormant. A new group of local individuals has just assumed leadership of the program. We are building a leadership team and making plans. We welcome all new members from across the political spectrum. If you're interested please contact us our website. Let us know what you're passionate about and what issues you would like to support. Please be patient with us. We are just getting started, but we are committed.
Lake County has already been affected during the Trump administration’s first 100 days.
Immigrants have been threatened and arrested without due process. They have been shipped to foreign prisons without due process. Immigrants in our community are our neighbors. They work in our farms and vineyards. They are entitled to respect and due process of law.
Cuts in grants are already affecting our ability to mitigate wild fire hazards. If the current MAGA budget passes and cuts Medicaid that will have significant impact on our local hospitals and clinics and will affect everyone's ability to get quality healthcare.
The list goes on.
What will our Indivisible Lake County CA 2025 do?
Right now we are organizing and building our membership. We actively support local demonstrations. We are already working with our local congressional office to support neighboring districts that have Republican representation. We will assist citizens in those communities in pressuring their representatives to vote against massive cuts in the budget which will affect local services. It is a budget that gives huge tax breaks to billionaires!
We will link up and support other local indivisible groups in neighboring cities and counties.

2025
We feel this is a critical and historic year. 2025 is a fresh start for our new local indivisible group. This is the year that Trump is trying to overthrow our democracy AND this is the year that people at the grassroots level are rising up en mass to resist MAGA and protect our democracy.
